Troop 1074 Trip to Huntsville State Park
January 2007
(Mike and Carl are assisting with our web site - if you want to help out, just email Mr. G)

We camped by the pier and David caught a 2.5 lb largemouth

Our morning ride

Huntsville State Park

Lots of great hike and bike trails

Our campsite - Guaranteed waterproof thanks to the antics of our scouts and too much rope.

After a quick lunch, back at it. (Sean looking defiantly at the "
SPILLWAY")

The "spillway" Joey shows us how it is done

We call them the Jesus bikes - they walk on water. (Mike has the wrong bike. notice him struggling to reach the pedals.)

the pm ride was a lot longer

Tilden makes a rainproof (almost) fire

Camp visitors

OK, it really rained at least 6 or 7 inches and the temp dropped 30 degrees - but everyone was dry and warm (mostly).

In spite of the 12 mile ride, the all night thunder storm, and the Jesus van we made it back safe and sound.
